Wembley Choi Kwang Do is a Martial Art School that is dedicated to “transforming lives and empowering generations” through the practice and study of Choi Kwang Do. We have been teaching children, teenagers and adults in Wembley and the surrounding areas for the past 27 years.

Choi Kwang Do is traditional in terms of its values and ethics but non-traditional in terms of practice. The techniques performed in Choi Kwang Do are based on easy to learn natural body movements and modern-day scientific principles. These techniques utilise the body’s force producing capabilities to generate and deliver devastating amounts of power which is transferred into each kick, punch and strike.

Two things that set us apart from the myriad of other Martial Arts styles. The first is our unique Martial Arts Educare Programme which seeks to ‘Draw Out’ the innate potential of the individual whilst developing their character. This enables the practitioner to realise their innate potential so that may live a more peaceful, purposeful and productive life. The second is the restorative nature of Choi Kwang Do. A restorative Art is self-healing through its practice. Training Choi Kwang Do brings balance to the mental, physical and emotional aspects of the practitioner, the goal being, to make our students ‘fit for life.’

Since we opened our school, we have been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through our unique Martial Arts Educare Programme and quality instruction. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for all students and their family members in Wembley. We have deliberately created and carefully constructed a conducive learning environment whereby individuals achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.

We strongly believe that Martial Arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience. Throughout all of our programmes, students learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves. We stand behind our practical and realistic approach to self-defence and self-development. Master Banfield and Mrs Mistry-Banfield

MEET MASTER KEITH BANFIELD & MRS CHETNA MISTRY-BANFIELD

Master Keith Banfield and Mrs Chetna-Mistry Banfield are the husband and wife team that run Wembley Choi Kwang Do.

Master Keith Banfield is a 7th Degree Black Belt, International Instructor and Examiner. As a child he was very shy and lacked self belief – both of which had an impact on his confidence and education. Training Martial Arts allowed him to overcome his shyness, which led to a renewed belief in himself and his own abilities; the result being, that he was able to do better with his studies at school, college, university and in all aspects of his life.

Master Banfield’s philosophical and inspirational teaching style helps individuals realise their innate potential. He understands that to teach is to touch a life forever and this is WHY he became an Instructor. He is determined to ensure that all his students live more peaceful, purposeful and productive lives.

Mrs Chetna Mistry-Banfield is a Chief Instructor and 3rd Degree Black Belt with over 21 years of Choi Kwang Do Martial Art expertise. She is the school Administrator at Wembley Choi Kwang Do and ensures the smooth operation and running of the school.
